Agave Shawii Sunset - San Diego - Lux Framed Canvas Ready to Hang
Captured in the Hills of Cabrillo National Monument overlooking San Diego and the Pacific Ocean. The Agave Shawii is a rare species that only occurs coastally where it can take advantage of buffered temperatures and fog moisture. It is found in larger numbers along the coast of Baja California. Cabrillo National Monument and the surrounding Navy property of the Point Loma peninsula are currently host to the largest populations of Shaw’s agave in the entire United States.
I chose to add an oil overlay on this piece to effortlessly blend the hundreds of colors in the evening sky. Zooming in on your screen or when you get your new 3ft piece of art you will see the details in the dreamlike creamy finish up close and personal. This shot is quite stunning, but the botanus ecosystem background and the fact that this plant is so rare to this one specific area is pretty neat element of the art.
The Lux Eco friendly canvas is curated around a wooden floating frame. The frame depth sits 38mm deep(2.1 inches) out from the wall. The surrounding frame offers an 0.2 inch gap from the edge of the canvas to create a floating canvas feel. The canvas is a finely textured artist-grade cotton substrate which consistently reproduces image details with outstanding clarity and detail!
The Framed version over pro photographic paper has a 2" matted border around the print. When taking size into consideration, the glass is 36" wide by 12" tall, but there is a 2" border around the print to showcase it. This will make the image smaller and centered, turning the actual image into a 32" wide by 8" tall piece. The piece is then mounted and framed behind perspex glass and wired on the backside so it is ready to hang upon arrival. There are 5 frame options available
